Ao Zukin Trailer
Inspired by Ugetsu Monogatari, Ao Zukin is an interdisciplinary performance exploring the fragile boundary between madness, spirituality, and human transformation.
Blending Butoh-influenced movement, contemporary dance, Zen ritual, Buddhist chanting, spoken narrative, and live shamisen, the work creates a space where desire and discipline, chaos and meditation, coexist.
Produced by Tokyo Dolores, the project brought together artists across movement, music, ritual, and visual design. The Kiryu performances were also documented by director Makoto Tezuka, extending the work beyond live performance into cinematic form.
